3 Must Have Products for Dehydrated Skin

As soon as the temperatures started dropping, I noticed a big change in my skin. My skin was feeling a lot tighter and drier, and my foundation was not sitting on my skin nicely at all. I realised that due to the weather change, my skin was becoming more and more dehydrated as opposed to dry (yes there is a difference!). Over the the past couple of months, I’ve been incorporating some new products in to my routine that have really made a difference to my skin.

Superfacialist – Rose Hydrating Day Cream

I was on the lookout for a new daily moisturiser, and I picked up the Rose Hydrate Radiance Day Cream from boots. I usually like to read about skincare products, but hadn’t on this occasion as I have tried products from Superfacialist before, and I think it is a great brand. It claims to provide “deep hydration whilst helping recharge the skin keeping it looking firmer and more toned”. This cream is really refreshing on the skin and provides hydration to the skin without it being greasy. It has also prevented make up from clinging on to any dry patches, and my make up applies well and lasts throughout the day.

H20+ Beauty – Waterbright Illuminating Night Cream

While I was in Florida over christmas, I headed to Ulta especially to pick up this product. I first heard of this product in one of my favourite YouTubers, Desi Perkin’s, mentioned this in her skin skincare video. When she said she felt like her skin was “literally drinking water” I knew it was a product that I wanted to try. It’s slightly thicker than your average daily moisturiser so I can see why it is a night time specific cream, but it is not greasy or pore clogging at all. Personally, I wouldn’t say that this feels as hydrating when you initially put it on, however, I think the product sinks into the skin really well. In the morning I feel like my skin is a lot more radiant and healthy looking, which is probably thanks to the key ingredient in the product, Vitamin C. Unfortunately the down sides to this product are that it is only available in Ulta, and it is slightly on the pricer side at $54 (approx £48). If you’re like me and willing to spend a bit more on your skincare, this product is definitely worth it.

Environ – Intensive Hydrating Oil Capsules

A few months ago, this product made it’s way into my skincare routine. These hydrating oil capsules contain vitamin A and vitamin C along side other antioxidants to help fight signs of anti ageing, and of course to hydrate. I’ve never used any skincare capsules before, so initially I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Each capsule comes with plenty of oil to cover the whole face and the neck. Despite being an oil, it’s very lightweight and non greasy. I tend to use these capsules once or twice week after I’ve used my face masks at night because I feel like that’s when my skin has had a good deep cleanse and the moisture can sink in.  I like how soft and hydrated this product leaves my skin feeling.

Great post! I’ve never heard of these brands before. When my skin needs hydration I usually do a mask with my Clarins Hydraquench Mask. It honestly feels like your skin just had a drink of water

I can’t thank you enough for these recommendations! Ive been struggling so bad with dry skin for the last few years due to my daily medications and I’m defiantly going to look into buying these products – I’ve actually just found a face mask that I’ve reviewed on my blog that’s really hydrating if you’d like to read. These are such detailed explanations which I love as I’m the same as you, I prefer reading up about products before buying. Love this post so much XO
