Before Lipstick There Was Lypsyl

Before lipstick there was Lypsyl*. Way before I even knew what make up was, Lysyl was a must have in my school bag. Several years later (more like decades), they are still a daily essential today. I always apply my Lypsyl first thing in the morning and last thing at night as well as topping up throughout the day if necessary. It has really helped to keep my lips moisturised throughout the day, and has been a life saver for me as I suffer from dry, chapped lips especially in the cold winter weather.

The newly reformulated Lypsyl contains:

  • Aloe Vera to help repair and heal damaged lips
  • Vitamin E to help prevent lips from drying out
  • Avocado oil to moisture and help repair lips
  • SPF 15 to protect your lips from dangerous UVA and UVB rays

Beauty Tip: Always apply a lip balm before applying any type of lipstick because it acts like a primer and prevents lips from looking dry and cracked.

There are 7 unique variations of Lypsyl to chose from all of which are designed to smoothen and hydrate the lips. So if  Revitalising Cherry & Almond or Uplifting Strawberry & Pomegranate isn’t for you, there are more to choose from. This includes; Invigorating Mint & Fennel, Refreshing Cucumber & Aloe,  Sensual Coconut & Almond and The Original Lypsyl. All of these contain SPF 15 and retail for £1.89. However, if you’re looking for extra sun protection the Vanilla Lypsyl contains SPF50 and retails at £4.99.

Have you tried Lypsyl before? Which one from the range would you go for?

I have never seen this by where I live. I’ll have to search for it. I can never find a lip balm that truly moisturizes!

Boots and Superdrug are usually good places to get them from! Thank you for reading! x
