#GIRLBOSS

Happy 1st February you guys!

It’s been a month since you’ve all probably began your new years resolutions.

One of my resolutions (apart from the standard get fit and healthy), was to read a bit more.

I used to love reading when I was younger but as I’ve gotten older, I just found that the last thing I wanted to do after a long day of studying was to read some more.

After much of the blogging hype surrounding this book, I decided to start off by reading #GIRLBOSS by Nasty Gal Founder and CEO Sophia Amoruso.

Admittedly, I didn’t think I would actually like it because when something is hyped up so much, it sometimes ends up being disappointing.

I thought this book was so inspiring and really gave me the push I needed to really put the effort into my blog and especially my degree. Sophia Amoruso writes in such a clever, witty way; she is upfront, and tells it like it is. Her quirky personality really shines through and by the end of it, you feel as though you made a friend

My favourite quote from the whole book is:

“Luck tells us that we don’t control our own fate, and that our path to success or failure is written by someone, or something, entirely outside ourselves. Luck lets us believe that whatever happens, whether good or bad, its not our credit or our fault. That is why I don’t buy luck.”

Have you guys managed to stick to your resolutions? What do you think of #GIRLBOSS?
