What’s Your Scent?

Hi Guys,

On Wednesday I did a post about fragrances but unfortunately something in the post was causing issues for the layout. Now because I’m not a html guru I figured the easiest thing for me to do would be to delete it. So here it is again!

This is the first time I’ve spoken about any fragrances on the blog. I’m shopping around for new scents to try and so I’d really appreciate some recommendations.

My absolute favourite fragrance is Delicious Night by DKNY

Fragrance Notes:

Top: Pomelo, Ginger, Blackberry

Mid: Orchid, Jasmine, Iris

Base: Amber, Incense, Vetiver

This, as suggested by the name has been advertised as a night time perfume but I honestly love wearing it at any time of day. It is a sweet scent, but at the same time it’s subtle. I would highly recommend this!

La Petite Robe Noire By Guerlain

Fragrance Notes:

Top: Jasmine , Rose, Green Accords

Mid: Cherry, Orange Blossom, Apple

Base: White Amber, White Musk, Patchouli

I think what impresses me most about this fragrance, is the bottle itself. It’s so elegant and dainty, perfect for any girly girl. There are actually several different versions of this perfume, but the eau de toilette is my favourite. It is so long lasting and refreshing. Having worked for Guerlain, I know this one was popular amongst customers.

J’adore by Dior

Top: Slighty Sharp Floral, Fresh Mandarin

Mid: Jasmine, Plum, Orchid, Rose

Base: Maranth, Musk, Blackberry

This perfume has a sharp, distinct smell. I save this for  nights out and special occasions, as it really does give off that kind of vibe.

No5  by Chanel

Top: Aldehydes, Bergamot, Lemon, Neroli, Ylang-Ylang

Mid: Jasmine, Rose, Iris, Lily of the Valley

Base: Vetiver, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Amber, Vanilla

As you can see this fragrance is a lot different to the ones I use above. I’m not a fan of musky scents, and whilst this doesn’t contain musk, it is very musky. I do however love this perfume and save it for a special occasion, when I want to go for a more sophisticated vibe. It’s a classic!

What are your favourite perfumes?

These sound great. I basically feel the same way about Chanel No. 5. I’ve been looking for a new scent, but it’s so hard to choose!

Thank you! I really would recommend trying any of these, and if you do, let me know what you think! 🙂
