As much as I love make up, I’ve come to realise finding solutions to my problematic skin is much better than trying to hide blemishes and scarring under layers of makeup. Skincare is something i’m always looking to improve, so I’m forever looking into new brands/products to try.
A couple of weeks ago, in the Beauty Workshop in Selfridges, I came across the brand Su-Man Skincare, who were launching their first face mask. The founder and creator of the skincare line, celebrity facialist Su-Man was there, and she kindly spoke to me about her brand and the various products in her skincare line. It was so lovely to hear first-hand the influence behind the brand and the ingredients used in the products. I was shown the products on display, and was also able to try some of the skin brightening serum on my hand. It had such a luxurious velvety smooth texture, I was so impressed from the get go.
The Facial Glow Rejuvenating Mask* is designed to “deeply hydrate, plump and visibly brighten the complexion”- factors which I always try to incorporate into my skincare. Coconut water, purple orchid and tranexamic acid are just a few of the ingredients included which work to restore the skin and provide a radiant complexion. On the main website there is a whole page dedicated to explaining the benefits of the ingredients used in products which I found really helpful.
The masks come in a box of 4 single application sheet masks. Each sheet mask is individually wrapped in gorgeous red packaging. The mask contains a generous amount of serum and the actual mask is quite big so it covers your whole face really well. It’s really quick and easy to put on; I just peeled away the protective mesh on both sides and placed the gel side directly on my skin, leaving it on for just over 15 minutes. It felt really cool and refreshing; my skin literally felt as though it was taking in water. After I removed the mask, I massaged the remaining serum into my skin, and I did notice my skin looking more radiant.
Usually I use 2 face masks a week; one clay based mask for spot treatment and the second for hydration and brightening, so this is a perfect mask to incorporate into your skincare routine at least once a week. This mask is also really useful if you’re travelling. I know my skin really suffers when I travel so this is something that would really help me on those journeys to keep my skin hydrated and prevent breakouts.
I’m really excited to try out other products from this brand as all the products are such high quality, and as I’ve mentioned, on the main website there is a full list of the ingredients used so you know exactly what you are putting on your face.
