I posted this picture a few days a go on Instagram after I had been shopping in Shanghai. I picked up a few things from Sephora, MAC and Levi’s that I’ve been wanting to show you guys.
See By Chloe – My favourite perfume DKNY Delicious Night had run out, so I just needed something to replace it as I had no idea where to get it from in Shanghai. I’ve never tried a Chloe perfume before, so I was pleasantly surprised when I came across this one. It’s definitely a feminine perfume as it’s quite floral and fruity, so if you’re into that, I would recommend you try it. I don’t know if it will replace my DKNY perfume but it is definitely pretty high on my list.
Sephora Beauty Blender – I wasn’t able to find the actual beauty blender I got because mine was a Sephora own brand sponge, but I’ve linked the original beauty blender for you guys to have a look at. I left my Real Techniques Sponges at home and honestly that was a big mistake, especially because I raved about them in my review. After going back to brushes, I definitely think the way to achieve the perfect face base is by using a sponge. It just gives a less cakey, more natural feel.
Sephora Collection Cheekbone Blush Brush #51 – I brought this blush brush to use for my highlighter. I usually use a fan brush, but because it’s quite sparse it makes my highlight look dry rather than the dewy look a want. This brush helps achieve a more concentrated glow.
Mac Studio Conceal and Correct Palette – I ran out of my pro longwear concealer for colour correcting so I picked up the Make Up Forever Palette in my previous haul. I didn’t like the MUFE palette because I thought that I could only really use 1 out of the 5 colours from the palette so it was a bit of a waste of money. The MAC make up artist used this palette on me and I HAD to get it as a replacement. The palette comes in 4 different shades that work with a range of different skin tones and they were so creamy and pigmented.
Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation – Whilst I’ve been here I’ve been looking for a new foundation because my Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation was looking a bit too cakey on my skin. This could be either the changing environment so I may switch back to double wear when I get home. I tried this foundation and it applied so well, and it gave my skin absolute radiance. It just looked a lot more natural and I’m really after that more dewy look without looking so oily. This foundation isn’t really for people with oily skin like myself, but I set it with my Laura Mercier translucent powder, and I don’t have any problems with it.
721 High Rise Jeans – I’ve never brought anything from Levi’s and so when I went into the store here, I saw these jeans and I just loved the colour of them. When I tried them on they fit amazingly well, better than my Topshop ones that I usually buy. I always have trouble with finding jeans that are good for my height and with these I have to roll them up from the bottom but I don’t mind. If you want a pair of good quality, good fitting jeans, Levi’s is definitely a place to checkout.
I hope you’ve liked some of the stuff I’ve picked up lately!
