I’m finally back with a beauty post! I’m in Shanghai and the internet here is sooo slow and difficult, it honestly gets so frustrating. After a month of being here, I finally made it to Sephora, and picked up a few bits that I wanted to try.
The first thing I picked up was the Glam Glow Supermud Clearing Treatment. My skin has been really playing up lately due the the air being so polluted here, so I wanted to purchase something that was going to give my face a deep cleanse. It is a face mask that targets all problem areas and has “Pore Matrix” technology which show where the pores have been extracted. It sounds like pretty scientific stuff to me but that makes me hopeful that it really do the job. The main reason that I went for this one is because I’ve heard so much about it. I hope it lives up to its expectations.
My second purchase was the Dr Jart + BB Cream. I’ve never used a BB cream before so I didn’t have any real expectations. I was so impressed by the coverage of this! It made my skin feel nice and soft. The only downside is that there is only one colour, so for me it was waaaay too light. I still put a foundation on top, but it was the thinnest layer, and this helped to alter the colour.
I had run out of my MAC pro long wear concealer and when I went to the MAC store, they said that they don’t sell it in China. I was frantically searching for a new one, when I came across the make up forever 5 camouflage cream concealer palette. When I swatched it in the store, it was so creamy and blendable, so I was immediately ready to pick it up. The only issue I have with this palette is that I’m not sure if I will use all the colour, so it could potentially be a waste of product and more importantly money, but I’m interested to see how long it lasts.
Finally, I have been looking for a nude/brown liquid lipstick. I picked up the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Dolce. I really liked the tone of this brown, it seems like a colour I can wear all the time. It has a bit of a shimmer in it, which I’m not used to as I usually go for completely matte lipsticks. I’m interested to see whether it is hydrating on the lips like it claims to be.
P.S I’m looking for a new foundation with a dewy finish, so if you have any recommendations, please leave in the comments below. Also if you have any more Sephora recommendations please also let me because I’d love to try and get them whilst Sephora is easily accessible.
