As a person with oily/combination skin type, one of my biggest struggles has been to find a foundation or products to help my make up stay all day. Recently, i’ve found a few products that have made a noticeable difference to the lasting power of my make up.
This primer is one of the first primers I had ever purchased. Back then I had just got into make and wanted to try new products so kept on purchasing a new primer each time. This claims to “smoothes, resurfaces, brightens, mattifies and protects the skin”, and I honestly agree to each one of these properties. Most of all it, I really feel like it helps the lasting power of my make up. I’ve used so many primers since this and I’m struggling to remember why I didn’t come back to this one sooner.
After my Laura Mercier powder finished, I felt like trying something new. I picked this up hearing positives about the brand but not much about this product. This powder has quickly become my favourite setting powder. It is so smooth and leaves your complexion looking nice and even. What I really like about this product is that even though it is supposed to be “mattifying” it does not leave the skin looking powdery and cakey.
Have you ever been disappointed by a raved about product that didn’t live up to the hype? I can safely say that this product does everything it says it does, and it after purchasing it for the fourth time it is definitely a staple in my make up collection. I didn’t know what to expect when I first picked it up. I was worried that it would be just another bottle of “glamourised water”. It really does keep my make up looking fresh and long lasting throughout the day. I’ve used a few other setting sprays in between but I really feel like nothing else compares.
What do you do to keep your make up lasting all day?
