In the past, I’ve always maintained how much I rely on statement jewellery to complete an outfit. I didn’t consider that simple jewellery could have the same effect, until I came across Urban Raven. Shiran Tal, the owner of the brand, creates unique jewellery using upcycled materials as well as making laser cut jewellery.
I received 3 rings and a bracelet, all which I had so much difficulty choosing because they were all so beautiful and with most of the pieces I could choose the material and finish (gold plated, rose gold, silver, brass, shiny, matte). This is something I’ve never seen offered before, and I think just by having that choice, it makes the jewellery a bit more personal and you can tailor it to what you want and what suits your personal style best.
Firstly, I chose this gold plated geometric style bracelet with a shiny finish. It’s a really dainty piece but the geometric design really makes it stand out. I don’t like to wear a lot on my wrists because I get really irritated by it, so having something really lightweight yet still having this kind of statement is so ideal for me.
I then chose 3 rings, all of which are rose gold plated with a shiny finish (rose gold obsession taking over). The Triangle Ring is a great statement piece and I love wearing it on my thumb as it just sits so nicely. The Snowflake Stackable 2D ring is the first 2D ring I’ve ever come across. It makes such a good stacking ring because it is quite thin, so you could quite easily stack 2 or 3 rings without it looking too bulky.
My favourite ring definitely had to be this Hexagon Fan Knuckle Ring way it spreads out and sits on the finger. I have never come across a ring designed this way and its such a gorgeous, unique piece.
I love having unique, individual pieces in my jewellery collection and these designs are absolutely nothing like anything I’ve seen on the high street. If you are looking for Christmas presents already, these would be perfect gifts.
